Therapies Offered
If you are new to massage therapy, many of the following types of therapies may sound foreign to you. When you visit Therapy Plus for a massage, we will have a conversation to make sure that the best therapy is selected for your needs and personal preferences. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions prior to or during your visit.
Swedish Massage
The most common form of massage. Reduces stress, relieves muscular pain and fatigue. Releases tension and increases circulation.
Sports Massage
Relaxes tight muscle groups, stimulates circulation, speeds rehabilitation after injury, and enhances performance.
Acupressure
Uses trigger points in the body to restore energy. Acupressure is a form of deep massage that applies concentrated finger pressure to specific muscles to help break the cycle of spasm and pain.
Deep Tissue
Uses slow strokes, direct pressure, and/or friction. Applies with greater pressure and to the deeper layers of muscles.
LaStone Therapy
A technique using warm and cold stones during massage to facilitate the relaxation and healing process.
Reiki
A treatment to facilitate the flow of energy through the body; offers deep relaxation, and has very few contraindications. May have session fully dressed.
Reflexology
Massage of the feet or hands that relieves pain and has a therapeutic effect in all system of the body.
CranioSacral
A soft, light touch that promotes health and healing by balancing the nervous system.
Herbal Body Wrap
Excellent treatment where body is wrapped in warm fleece sheet soaked with herbs to draw out impurities.
Mud Wraps
Uses all natural additives for reducing and detoxification that results in cleansing, toning, and tightening of skin and soft tissues.
Body Scrubs
Salt and sugar scrubs available to exfoliate the skin, improve skin tone, increase cutaneous circulation, stimulate nerve endings, and produce a calming relaxing effect.
